im sorry but anyone who even attempts to compare aic with RATM is ignorant. first off, two completely differnt types of music, two completely different bands, RATM being a funk/rock and AIC being grunge, its like comparing green day and metallica, i mean come on guys

Rage is great, c'mon you know it made Tony Hawk rule raptor_mag... lol, but let me say that one one will ever chill your spine with the vocals of AIC. That alone is why Rage can't compare, regardless of sales or popularity.
These guys rock Nutshell is my favorite song of all time. You feel it cause we all can relate to it at times. Rage is no doubt an awesome band but AIC just rocks.
Who cares who the better band is? AIC has to have had the best episode on MTV Headbanger's Ball years ago at the water park. RATM can't say that. AIC was a beast! Best lead voice ever...period!
I disagree, RATM started a revolution, and has really great music, with great beats. I liked them before they were overused, in the matrix and video games and whatnot. Alice in Chains sounds exactly like all the other bands of that genre.I've yet to hear anything remotely like RATM, Even in Audioslave.
Rage against the machine's guitarist tom morello really isnt that good. He uses different sounds for rythym. Hes basically a techno architect. cantrell is a much better guitarist. its really hard to decide the better band
