All That Remains is an American melodic metalcore band from Springfield, Massachusetts which formed in 1998. They have released four studio albums, a live CD/DVD, and have sold over 470,000 albums in the United States. All That Remains released their debut album, Behind Silence and Solitude on March 30, 2002 through Prosthetic Records. The style of the album differs from their later releases, as it is void of clean vocals, and more prominently contains elements of melodic death metal. It was also the band's only release featuring guitarist Isaac Valladares and bassist Josh Stolowitz. Shortly after the album's release, singer Philip Labonte tried out for the vacant vocalist position in Killswitch Engage as mentioned in their DVD (Set This) World Ablaze. Labonte and Killswitch bassist Mike D'Antonio mentioned he was the runner-up, but current vocalist, Howard Jones received the position.

gonna have to say that the rev ( in my eyes ) is the best drummer i've ever heard... but slater is right about the clear solo's.. much respect to both groups tho.. they have gone much farther than my band.. it's hard crap.

Fast guitar solos aren't always good if they aren't clear, and All That Remains has a better drummer
All That Reamins is a good band but Avenged Sevenfold has got faster guitar solos and a heavier drum beat
