Busted were a BRIT Award winning British pop band consisting of James Bourne, Charlie Simpson, and Matt Willis. They sold over three million albums worldwide, winning two BRIT Awards, Record of the Year and performing on several sellout arena tours. The band, initially called The Termites, consisted of James Bourne on guitar and vocals, Matt Willis on drums, Owen Doyle on bass and vocals, and Ki McPhail on guitar and vocals. That March, the four signed a deal with a professional management company, changing their name to Busted the following month. In October, however, McPhail and Doyle say they were kicked out of the group. The latter two members were sacked later that year.
