George Harrison MBE (25 February 1943 – 29 November 2001) was an English rock guitarist, singer-songwriter, author, writer, film producer and sitarist best known as the lead guitarist for The Beatles. Following the band's breakup, Harrison had a successful career as a solo artist and later as part of the Traveling Wilburys supergroup. He was the first Beatle to have a number one solo album (All Things Must Pass). He also co-founded the production company Handmade Films, and in his work as a film producer, collaborated with people as diverse as Madonna and the members of Monty Python. Why is it that such talent has to be taken away from us so soon? The Beatles were one of the best things I remember during the 60's! And "YES", I feel the same about Elvis despite the mean and cruel things that were said surrounding his death. The man had a heart of GOLD!
