John Towner Williams (born February 8, 1932), is an Academy Award, Grammy, Golden Globe and BAFTA Award-winning American composer, conductor and pianist. In a career that spans six decades, Williams has composed many of the most famous film scores in history, including all but one of Steven Spielberg's feature films, Star Wars, Superman, Born on the Fourth of July, and Harry Potter. In addition, he has composed theme music for four Olympic Games, NBC Nightly News, and numerous television series and concert pieces. I agree with you 110%, he does deserve a lot for what he has done for all of us, as without music in films, they would be so stupid. Music and songs, are what makes the movies I think, it tells you when to feel sad, how to feel and what might be coming around the next corner, so to speak.
