Linda Maria Ronstadt (born July 15, 1946 in Tucson, Arizona) is an American popular vocalist and entertainer who has earned multiple Grammy Awards, an Emmy Award, numerous United States and internationally certified gold, platinum and multiplatinum albums, in addition to Tony Award and Golden Globe nominations. A singer-songwriter and record producer, she is recognized as a definitive interpreter of songs, recording rock, Traditional Pop, mariachi, jazz, folk, Broadway and opera. Along with being one of music’s most versatile, and commercially successful female singers, she was, for a time the - "highest paid woman in rock",- whose vocal styles have successfully resonated with the general public over the course of a four decade long career. She has released of over 30 solo albums, more than 15 compilations or greatest hits albums, and collaborations with various artist, on over 120 other albums.
