Pain was an American rock band from Mobile and Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The main songwriters Dan and Pose, grew up in Mobile and graduated from Mcgill Toolen High school in midtown Mobile. Though they have not produced any chart-topping hits, the band enjoyed a semi-mainstream following after touring relentlessly. Cartoon Network also aired a short two-minute music video set to their song "Jabberjaw (Running Underwater)", featuring the cartoon character of the same name along with "updated" versions of the rest of the show's characters. Pain's sound features fast-paced lyrics, energetic punk rock rhythms, and frequent use of horn instruments. Their lyrical content is often humorous, touching lightly upon such subjects as Dungeons and Dragons as well as Greek and Arthurian legends, often creating entire plots and stories about fictional characters. Despite similarities in instrumentation and sensibility to third wave ska, Pain has expressed resentment towards being labeled as ska, stating a dislike for the genre.

During this tour singer Peter Tägtgren, drummer David Wallin and bassist Johan Husgafvel were assaulted by a gang in Leipzig. Peter received 10 stitches in his face, David suffered a concussion and Johan had his nose broken.[1]
Pain is an industrial metal musical project from Sweden. The project started out as a hobby project for front man Peter Tägtgren, whose idea was to fuse metal with techno influences. Tägtgren, who is also the vocalist/guitarist of Hypocrisy and producer of his own The Abyss studios, is the only current member. He has mentioned his influence to start the project was Soul of a New Machine. Pain's self titled debut was released in 1997, and since then Pain has released five more albums and a DVD. I
