Uwe Schmidt (aka Atom Heart, Atom™, Señor Coconut; born August 27, 1968 in Frankfurt, West Germany), is a German DJ and producer of electronic music. He is often regarded as the father of electrolatino, electrogospel, and aciton (acid-reggaeton) music. During the early 1990s, Schmidt produced dance music under a number of monikers including Atom Heart. In 1994, Schmidt started his own label, Rather Interesting, with the aim of developing music that doesn't follow the "traditional paths of electronic music".
