The Gaslight Anthem is an American rock band from New Brunswick, New Jersey. They released their first album, Sink or Swim, on XOXO Records in May 2007, and their second album, The '59 Sound, on SideOneDummy Records in August 2008. Before The Gaslight Anthem, Brian Fallon fronted both This Charming Man and Cincinnati Rail Tie. Benny Horowitz and Alex Levine were also in This Charming Man along with guitarist Mike Volpe. Volpe left the band to continue education and as a result Horowitz asked Alex Rosamilia to join the band, who then renamed as The Gaslight Anthem. Drummer Benny Horowitz and guitarist Alex Rosamilia played in The Killing Gift.
