Wax Tailor

"Wax Tailor" is the alias of French trip hop/hip hop producer, DJ Jean-Christophe Le Saoût. In the early 90s, he formed the group ‘La Formule Band’. Alongside this affiliate, he worked on solo projects and eventually reach a relative fame as his own headman. In 2001, he started the Wax Tailor project, which happens to be more successful than his earlier work. His music has been labeled as a ‘cinematic hip-hop’ experience. The sound of Wax Taylor is a mix of smooth instrumental arrangements, samples and scratching. His songs often contains fragments of film dialogue from old movies. His influences include musicians (Doris Day, Nina Simone) and also, directors (Stanley Kubrick, Woody Allen, and Alfred Hitchcock).   Wikipedia
